Ritroso – Libero Maggini
(2008–2023)

Ritroso collects fifteen years of sculptural works by Libero Maggini, from 2008 to 2023.

The uniqueness of the volume lies in the way it is read: it begins with the last page, presenting the works from 2008, and progresses forward by turning the pages to the left, reaching the most recent works of 2023.

If, however, it is browsed like a traditional book, the journey is reversed: it starts with the most recent gestures from 2023 and moves backward to the origins of 2008. In this way, the reader experiences the artist’s evolution in reverse, from mature forms back to the earliest intuitions.

Ritroso is thus simultaneously an archive, a narrative, and a movement: an invitation to view sculptural work not as a line moving forward, but as a path that can be retraced in reverse to rediscover its meaning.
